Victory

Hannah has been ready to potty train for probably months now. I didn't want to start it until I was feeling better, but she was starting to train herself on her own. She had a few accidents while somewhat training herself and I wasn't sure if she was going to understand potty training yet. Well, this week I decided that it was time to train her since I've been feeling better. She has done SO well. I started on Monday and she hasn't had a single accident. She even goes by herself, and sometimes I don't even know she is in the bathroom until she comes out and tells me that she's gone potty. Sometimes we do the "pee pee dance" after she goes (thanks to her grandma Julia), which is her victory dance.

I've been worried this week to take her out of the house with her "big girl underwear" on (P.S., don't ever say the word "panties" in front of Scott. That word grosses him out for some reason.), but I did it today. I made sure that I had an extra pair of pants and underwear just in case, but again, no accidents.

I can not believe how lucky I am that it has been this easy for me. I know that many people struggle with potty training their kids. I probably won't get this lucky with my next two children, especially if they are boys. The only problem that I've had with this whole process is cleaning her poop out of her little potty. I have a weak stomach as it is with poop, and it is extremely heightened being pregnant. For some reason this is way worse than cleaning a poopy diaper for me. I might have to buy a different potty that attaches to our toilet and a step stool so that I won't have to deal with her poop. Anyway, I hope that this potty streak continues. I am just so proud of her. I think I'll go do the pee pee dance right now because I'm so excited!!!

Yay Hannah! That's way exciting! That'll make things so much easier once your babies come. You'll be changing 2 kids' diapers instead of 3.

Here's a video of another pee pee dance you should check out. It's pretty crazy!

Way to Go Hannah!! What a smartie. She definitely wants to be a big girl and will be a helper when the babies are born. I am also very proud of her.

Good job Hannah! I'm so glad that Madison is completely potty trained. It feels so nice to be able to go places without pull-ups, clothes,...etc. Poopy was the main reason we bought seats that attached to our toilet because I couldn't handle it in general. Tell Hannah to keep up the good work. She looks so proud in her picture. I'm not sure who is more prouder: the mommies or the kids. :0)

P.S.

I might be going out of town the weekend of your baby shower but if not, count me in.

Wow, you had it easy! That is so awesome that she practically trained herself. I too, hated when Allie used the small potty for poop. It's so gross to clean out. I think we'll skip the whole little potty with Luke when we start training and just train him on the big toilet.

Good job Hannah!!!!She needs to teach Dominic a thing or two.He is still a work in progress! After Disneyland in March, I told him and myself we are going to make it happen!I don't do the little potty clean the poop out thing.I would gag and vomit.I do the stool and big toilet. So much easier!Well, I hope your streak continues!

I'm so glad Hannah has been so easy! Yeah for her! And please don't worry about training if one or both of your new babies are boys... I think the "boys are harder to potty train" is a myth! Ian was trained in less than two weeks. He had just a couple accidents on the first day or so, and then only two, count them two, night time accidents. The fact that you have two babies potty training at the same time might be a challenge, but boys can do it well too! :o)

Wow- I'm impressed! Good job Hannah! It's so nice not to have to buy diapers. I forgot to comment on the last post...but my first guess would also be two girls, followed by a boy and a girl, and then two boys. I can't wait to hear!

Yeah for Hannah! Mason started showing an interest in the potty 2 weeks ago (I started to change his diaper with him standing up next to his little potty so he could begin to associate diaper changes with his little potty), so I've been putting him on it every diaper change and he's used it 5 times in the last two weeks - which I don't think is too bad for a 14 month old boy. I really hope he is fully day-time toilet trained before we start trying to conceive our number 2 later on this year. We'll see...... at least Hannah was able to train herself! It makes a huge difference if they can pull their own underwear and pants on and off without help. Something Mason's not quite able to do yet. ;)

yay for Hannah! I am so glad it had been easy for you, you deserve a break. Carter was a nightmare to potty train. PS. I had so much fun with you the other day. Sorry about my little monstrosity of a second child.

I love the idea of a pee pee dance! That is so funny. And she is sooo cute! Big girl PANTIES and everything! (That was for Scott ;))

And YOU are looking so darn cute too! I'm excited for the next time I'm prego, I love being pregnant. I'm sure you're rolling your eyes, especially since you have TWO in there! But really, I'm a little jealous. ;)

Have a great week!

YEA FOR HANNAH! SO happy for you guys...

...wish it was that easy for us over here. We are going on three accidents for today and not one successful potty trip in the toilet.

Ugh.
