Puzzle!

Now that I am done with school, days seem to run together and I often feel bored......especially since it is winter. It seems like this is the worst winter since we have been here in Utah (maybe I've just forgotten what past winters were like). It seems to snow several times a week, every week. The street that we live seems like it has not been plowed since the first time it snowed, so there is ice everywhere. I can't wait for spring when I can get out and go for a walk.

Even though this winter has been depressing, watching Hannah learn new things every day has been very rewarding. Here is a video of her with the puzzle she got from G-ma Julia and G-pa Greg for Christmas. She LOVES it. Every day she points to her toy box and says, "puzzle." I never knew she was in to puzzles, but this is good for me to know for future presents. She also loves the nursery rhymes book that my dad got her and the pop up animals that my mom got her (she finally learned how to do all 5 of them). Anyway, these past few weeks Hannah has always let me put the puzzle pieces in the right spot, and then she would push them in. She finally learned how to do the puzzle herself. It's funny how every mother thinks their child is the smartest child on earth. I'm sure any 15 month old baby could do a puzzle if she or he had the practice, but I get so proud of Hannah when she figures out new things. She surprises me everyday with a new word or action that she learns. Anyway, here is the video:

Here is another video of her walking. She is getting better and better everyday. Hopefully within the next few weeks she will start using walking as her primary form of transportation.

Maran,
I found your blog on Stacy's blog, it's sick that we live 40 min. apart and this is how I am contacting you! Your baby is smart, by the way, it's not just you, and she's dang cute! I know it's way too cold right now! Don't worry, the winter will be over soon.

Aaahh, Hannah. She is getting so big. It' so cute how she walks with her legs apart, trying to keep her balance. She's doing really well and will be running soon. Also, it's not just you, there is definitely more snow this year than any other winter I can remember since I have lived in Utah--and this is my 11th winter here. If you could get out from being down in a basement all day, it would probably be a little less depressing. But I agree; this is when I get the itch to move to Arizona.

Look how cute she is! Those little pig tails make me smile - as for the rest of her outstanding abilities - she is the smartest and cutest little one out there! It was fun to see her turn the puzzle pieces around so that they are even facing the right direction! And look at her go...it won't be long until you're running to keep up with her. She is a beauty!! Be sure to tell her that G-ma loves her so. And Maran, hang in there - spring will be here soon. Love you all - Mom

Hannah is so cute in these videos! I love how she's such a little perfectionist turning the pieces then holding them up until they're just right.

I hear ya about this winter! It has been around -10° almost every day I've left for work the past two weeks. It sounds kinda backwards, but I've been hoping for snow because atleast then it has to warm up a little!

I love her pig tails! She is so adorable! She is getting really good at walking. And the puzzle is great. She is so smart.

Sorry to hear about the weather. It's actually been really cold here too and Allie is sick so we've been home practically this whole week. The days get really long when you are couped up in an apartment.

Ah what a brilliant grandchild I have. I am so proud of her! Love her piggytails and she has definitely progressed in the walking. I'll keep my eyes open for puzzles for her. Our winter has also been very wet and gloomy. Need my grandbabies and kids to be close by and cheer me up! Love yas Mom

Maran- hop in the car, and come visit us for a week or two. You can even grab Hollie and Sisi. :) This is the good season in Arizona. Too bad gas prices weren't cheaper.
I love how Hannah walks- she reminds me of Bambi. Such a smart little cookie.

I mean, definitely every parent is proud of their kid, and feels as though their kid is "The Genius", but I have to admit...yours is up there on the smart kids list (if there is one?):) But anyway, it just makes me think what an awesome mommy you are! You take a lot of time to teach her important things, and I really admire that!
Miss you! Hope all is well!
Love,
Stacy
