Debt Free!!!!!!

So this is not normally something that you would tell people, let alone blog about it, but it is something that I am extremely happy about. As some of you know, Scott started a business before we were married and didn't have enough money to keep it up. Because of that, we began our marriage with a bit of credit card debt. This is something that I feel has been hanging over my head since we got married. Unfortunately, I get major anxiety thinking about debt, and because of that, I am a very frugal person. I still wear some of the same clothes that I've had since high school, and I hate spending money on myself. I wish this weren't the case sometimes because I feel like I always look frumpy. Anyway, a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders as we paid off the last of all of our credit card debt this afternoon. The main reason I am blogging about this is not because I want you all to know that we are out of debt, but because I want to mostly just give a shout out at how blessed Scott and I have been. I have been so worried about money since I haven't been working, especially now that Scott has gone down to part time work at Staples. I really just didn't know how it was going to work out and I was getting stressed out about thinking of putting Hannah in day care if I had to work. The fact that we were able to completely pay off our car and credit cards this month even though we are poorer than we've ever been is a miracle and has shown me how much we have been blessed. It's amazing how things work out, even when you feel like all is lost. This doesn't mean that I won't ever have to go back to work, but for now, I am so grateful for the fact that Scott and I are making it with the money that we have.

Maran- you guys rock, and there is no freedom like being out of debt! Wow, you are my inspiration. You guys are being blessed for doing the right things! And you are not frumpy either, you are beautiful! And so is your baby. I'm so sad that we couldn't hang out today, but we are all still so sick, it's disgusting because it's been like 6 days. I guess we're going for round two, because everytime I think we're about to feel better, a new wave of yuckiness hits. I hope we can get together sometime this week. Maybe we could take the kids to thanksgiving point or something.

Isn't that such a great feeling!David and I did the same thing in the start of our relationship and to this day we are still proud of yourselves. It really makes you think before you buy something,"like do I really need this".
Maran, I have never seen you look frumpy, you are a hot mama!

Yeah for you guys! You are so wise to get yourselves out of debt-especially in this day and age. We just don't know what tomorrow might bring. If you are frumpy, then I must be really dumpy because I have taken your hand-me-downs before. I've never seen you look bad. Besides, you'd still be beautiful in guys' clothes if that was all you had.

Hooray! I love that feeling of paying off something that's been hanging over my head. That's such a great accomplishment especially while Scott is still in school and only working part time. Congrats!

Congratulations! I would tell people this all the time if I were you especially those young single adults. That is the advice Jim and I always give.. don't EVER get credit cards, just a small overdraft on your checking to get you through a tough time and I mean like only $50-100.
Getting out of debt is what we have been asked to do by many church leaders over and over. They too promise us blessings for it. You are truly blessed.
We too are working on getting out of debt. It is hard and having to live without some stuff is tough for me but you are our inspiration too.. Awesome!

That is such a major accomplishment and I know you have worked hard to get there! GOOD JOB!!! And ya know what, you are never frumpy! Gorgeous as always...there's nothing wrong with high school clothes! I still have some I wear..and you always had cute clothes that I borrowed, so I don't think theres anything wrong with your wardrobe!
