Baby Shower

Last Saturday my mom and mother-in-law threw a baby shower for the twins and me. Anytime these two put on a party it always turns out awesome! I am so grateful to both of them for the many hours they put into it. My mom had been planning this thing for weeks (maybe months). She's a bit of a perfectionist, so everything turned out perfect from the delicious, adorable homemade cupcakes down to the way that each bow was tied on the party favors. All of the decorations matched perfectly- green, brown, and pink. The food that my mother-in-law made was also divine and I could not be more pleased with the way things turned out. We had between 35 and 40 people there, and I am so grateful to those who drove hours just for the day (or weekend) to come to the shower. It meant so much to me to have people there supporting the babies and me. So thank you to everyone for coming and for all of the gifts. We got tons of clothes, homemade blankets, sweaters, and pillows, boppies, diaper bags, pacifiers, and other items for the babies. And thanks to Jill for doing the games and Stacy for taking the pictures and everyone else who helped behind the scenes.

Here are some pictures of the event:

I don't know if you can really see the table decorations in this picture, but they were really cute.

Maran your shower was beautiful! I am so glad you had a good time and got some really nice stuff for the girls.
Doing the games were fun but nerve racking for me, I'm not really a public speaker, but only for you!

What a beautiful shower!! I so wish I could have been there! I even looked at flights the week before to see if I could make a surprise visit...but they were too expensive. I want to know what else you need. Email me a list of things. I contributed to the group gift but I'd love to send something. Hope you're having fun in CA.

Everything looks fabulous! You look way cute in your pink dress too. Is it too tacky to post pictures of what you got (you can say it's for me)? As you know, I love baby loot...I'd love to see what you got. Especially cute homeade goodies. :-)

that party looked like such a blast! I love watching you're belly grow. You are adorable. I keep thinking, there's Mare bear, who I used to sit behind and play with her hair in econ class, and now she's having babies! Oh, my!
PS. YOUR MOM'S CUPCAKES ARE AMAZING.

Maran, that was the most fun I've had making things since your wedding! I actually had a smile on my face for weeks before the shower. Anyway, you were certainly blessed with good friends and generous hearts. It was wonderful having you, Hannah and Scott here for a visit. If anyone wants to see more photos of the shower; go to my blogspot by clicking on Maran's link to Mom and Dave.
