Hogle Zoo

** My comments are out of order on this but I'm sure you can figure it out....I don't feel like changing it!

On Saturday we went to the Hogle Zoo. It was a lot of fun! I love doing this kind of stuff now that we have a child. It's kind of too bad she won't be able to remember any of it because she has done a lot of fun stuff this summer: gone to a museum, Seven Peaks, boating, to the ocean, swimming, and now to the zoo! I know we have all seen these animals before but I posted some pictures of them anyway because they are so cute.

Doesn't this bear look so cuddly? I just want to snuggle with him.

This bird (to the right) was staring me down. It was in the tree above me so I was afraid it was going to poop on me or peck at me.

This peacock was just wandering around our lunch table. It was not afraid of people at all. Hannah thought it was pretty interesting!

This white alligator is supposed to be the highlight of the zoo. I guess it's extremely rare.
Hannah seemed to love looking at the animals. The only problem was that she doesn't like to be in her stroller for very long unless we give her keys to play with. We always have to take her out and hold her. She's spoiled. I can't wait to go again someday, though, when she can enjoy it a little bit more.

P.S. There's a video below if you want to watch!

Those are some cool pictures! That black bear looks so cute and cuddly. I need to take Allie to the zoo; I bet she would love it now.

PS I'm sending you a CD of pics from CA tomorrow.

Great zoo pics! I thought the bear was fake- he looks like a big stuffed teddy bear- too bad he'd probably eat me if I gave him a hug.

HEy, it's Rachel. But I have to tell you that I live right down the street from Hoggle Zoo!! Not like you care but I was excited to know you were in my neck of the woods. So was the Zoo worth going to if you don't have children? Trent and I actually might be moving down to Provo in a few months. Trent is going to go to BYU next semester. So we'll have to get together. Take care.

Such an adorable family! Looks like fun. Some kids just don't care to sit in their stroller (or shopping cart for that matter). I understand the whole having to hold them every so often. I went shopping with all four kids last Monday to get final school supplies. Jarin decided to go in late for work to help me at the store. Afterwards he called me from work and said, "Don't ever go shopping with all four of them by yourself." It was crying, whining, wanting to be held, asking for every toy or candy they could see, etc. I always wonder how other mothers could get their infants to sit happily while shopping. I guess it's the Lord's way of teaching us patience.
