January:
I've put Bailey and Brynn in a little Mommy and me gymnastics class. It's just once a week, but it's fun for me to see them doing activities, because it's usually Hannah that gets to do all the fun stuff (although Hannah does get to come with us and participate too). They both really enjoy the beam and the parachute that we get to play with.
And I've put Hannah into swim lessons as well. She begs me all throughout winter if we can go swimming, so this was the best that I could do. Plus, she's learning how to swim better. Win win. Here she is practicing floating on her back.
Last Thursday, I really started potty training Bailey and Brynn. I wanted to have them trained by Christmas, and I tried, but I failed. I didn't know what I was doing with two of them. My cousin recently gave me a book on how to train your child in 3 days. It was a rough, messy, three days, but Bailey got it down. She's had one accident since last Saturday. Brynn, on the other hand, took a little longer. On day 5, I told her that I was done with this training, and that I would put her back into diapers if she didn't go potty in the toilet (because I had put them both in underwear while I was training them). She didn't want to go back into diapers. When Brynn wants something, she will do it. She's a stubborn one. So the next day she didn't have any accidents, and she's been doing really well since then. I even ran a few errands with them yesterday.
December:December is always a fun month because of Christmas. Before Christmas, we took the girls to a Christmas princess festival, where they got to dress up like princesses and participate in a little princess play.
For Christmas this year, Buddy the elf (from The Elf on the Shelf) made his first appearance to our house. I didn't get a picture of him, but he'll be around in years to come. For those who don't know who he is, it's a Christmas tradition where an elf appears in your home at the beginning of December to see if you are being naughty or nice. Every night he reports back to Santa, and then he comes back to our house and hides in a different place. The girls had a good time trying to find him every morning, and sometimes he would even bring them little presents or a note from Santa. He went back with Santa to the North Pole on Christmas eve, but he will be back next year, I'm sure.
Here are a few pictures of Christmas day. We had Scott's mom with us this year, but unfortunately I got the stomach flu on Christmas eve and felt sick still on Christmas day. So I, again, didn't get any really good pictures because it was hard to move from my spot on the couch. And later that week, I passed the sickness onto Scott, his mom, and Hannah. Here are Hannah, Bailey, and Brynn dressed up for church. I, obviously, stayed home.
And here are a few pictures of them opening up their presents.
The girls always get PJs on Christmas eve, so here are their new PJs.
And here are the girls eating the ginger bread house that we made.
Other traditions that I didn't get pictures of: eating lasagna on Christmas, drive through Christmas lights in Springville and at Thanksgiving point, watching all of our Christmas movies, and leaving out cookies for Santa. Hannah also had a preschool Christmas performance, which I got video of but no pictures. Next year, I hope to be able to take the girls on the Polar Express train for Christmas.
November:
Here are the girls playing in the leaves! There's really nothing more fun than a pile of leaves.

And here are a few cute pictures of the girls.
For Thanksgiving this year, we went to California. I forgot my camera, so no real pictures of the meal. Here are Hannah and Grandma working hard in the kitchen, though.
And our car hit 100,000 miles on our trip. Definitely picture worthy.
Here's my dad being hilarious in his monkey mask. And I got to go out to breakfast with my beautiful friends. I miss them.
Other things we did that trip that are not pictured: went to a bounce house with my dad, went on a girls date to see Breaking Dawn with my mom and sister, went to the park, visited my sister in Minden, NV, and Scott and I got to go on a date to Lake Tahoe for a day. It was a really fun trip!
