UUUUGGGGHHHH.....
It is taking every fiber of my being to write this blog. I am so not in a blogging mood lately. I keep thinking, "Oh, I'll blog about that later," and then later comes and I just don't want to do it. I think I've burnt myself out with 4 years of nonstop blogging. And I feel like I'm writing the same things over and over again....mostly about my girls. I wish I had something inspiring or witty to write about, but I don't. Even if I did, my brain is too tired to think. By the time my girls are in bed at night, I just want to flop myself on the couch like a dead fish.
So, let's think....
What's new in my life?
Well, we went to California for a week and a half, which was lots of fun. It's getting late now, but I will post pictures of that soon. I've had a few people ask me to post pictures of the girls' birthday party, so I will do that too.
So yeah, my girls turned 1, Scott turned 29, and Brynn learned how to scoot on her buns everywhere she goes. I'm almost positive she's going to skip the whole crawling thing, though I think it's going to be a long time before she's walking. Hannah took a gymnastics class with me in the month of July, which was so much fun. She's actually really good at the bars. I'm pretty sure I'll be signing her up for a class again in the fall.
Alright....I'm tired. That's my little update for now. I will post pictures some time this week. I promise!
P.S. Do you ever just sit there and laugh at something that you thought was funny earlier in the day? Sometimes when I'm alone I think of something funny and can't stop laughing. Just now I tried to go to bed, but couldn't stop laughing (and was shaking the entire bed) at something that happened earlier today, which is why I am out here writing this. This probably only happens to me because I'm a weirdo and because when I'm really tired I can't stop laughing at silly things. Want to hear what I was laughing at? It's probably not funny to anyone else but me.
Tonight we went over to my sister's for dinner and my mom was there (because she was in town for my cousin's wedding). We are sitting at the table and my brother-in-law says something like, "Sometimes when I'm at work, I wish I could just get sick so I could take a few days off." Then I said, "Well maybe you should start licking the banisters." And my husband chimes in, "Or the keyboards," and my mom chimes in, "or the bathroom door handle." Then he says, "I don't want to get worms, just sick." Then I said, "Well maybe the next time you see someone sneezing, you should just run up to them and open your mouth." Ohhhh, I can't stop laughing at this conversation. Most people cringe and turn away when someone is sneezing near them, but to picture my brother-in-law running toward someone sneezing and then opening his mouth to inhale their disgusting mucus is hilarious to me.
Good night.
