The past two weeks have been extrememly hard because our swing wasn't working. The first picture of her crying shows what I see most of the day. If I'm not constantly bouncing her or feeding her she screams. The second I put her down her eyes open and she starts to scream again. However, today our swing was working for about an hour and.......hallelujah!!! I was able to get a few things done. We are going to buy a new swing tomorrow because for some reason this one is not working (however we are extremely grateful to mom and Jill for giving it to us). Swings must have come from heaven because they are the only things that she'll continue to sleep in after I put her down. She's usually pretty good at night, thank goodness, just in time for dad to get home from work. Anyway, I don't mean to complain about her. I love being a mother but it is harder than I could have ever imagined. The doctors say to sleep when she sleeps but how am I supposed to do that if she only sleeps when I am holding her? If anybody has any advice it would be wonderful to hear.
Anyway, some great news for me today is that I fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans!! I have a few rolls hanging over the top but I was satisfied with just being able to fit them. I still can't fit into most of my shirts though. Some other good news is that Scott's dad is coming to visit this weekend. We are really excited to see him and Hannah is really excited to meet him:) Anyway, we will post better pictures soon but nothing really exciting has happened in the last week. On Friday Hannah will be one month old. Time is already flying by.

Hannah looks so tiny in that swing. The swing saved us many times too. Allie took her naps in the swing until she was about 6 months old. Congrats on fitting into your preprego pants. That's early!

I feel for you Maran. Those first couple of months can be a killer. It will get better (hopefully) and one day you will get sleep! (Although sometimes I feel like I've been without it for seven years!) Hey, if you come and visit I'll hold her all day :) hint hint

Hey! thanks for the shoutout--I'll see you guys tomorrow. And I will hold Hannah for as long as it takes for you to catch up on your sleep.
